HI Bergen Hostel Montana
Bergen Hostel Montana has launched a social volunteer program where young outgoing, enthusiastic people can volunteer. The volunteer undertakes activities such as: hikes (many...), games, barbecue, cultural kitchen, fishing, sightseeing, coffee (lots of...) and cookies, waffle baking, music - all in the name of cultural exchange and bringing people together. If you and our guests have other splendid ideas, you just bring them on!
We are a truly international staff. The volunteeers can expect to be treated with respect - and fun which will make it beneficial for all of us. The volunteers are NOT undertaking work that are otherwise been done by paid staff (e.g. cleaning etc.). We always have at least two volunteers at the same time.

I absolutely recommend going to Montana! This was my first experience as a volunteer, and I could'nt have expected a better one. Everyone there is so nice and welcoming, it is really easy to feel home. The social work that they expect from the volunteers is perfect to meet a lot of people and discover the city of Bergen. The hostel and the city are beautiful places that are really worth visiting. I can’t thank people from Montana enough for this amazing opportunity <3

I would recommend this experience 100% to everyone!! I had the best time at Bergen Montana, the hostel is cozy and all the staff and Amarilis are so friendly and welcoming, it’s impossible to not feel at home! The activities you prepare for the guests make you feel connect to each traveler and that’s amazing because you have the chance to get to know so many people there ! I will truly miss Bergen and my time there !

It was the best volunteering I have ever participated in, this is my fourth volunteer and without a shadow of a doubt I can say that this is the best. I don't know where to start, the volunteer's task is very free and this gives a lot of room for the creativity of every single person. The hours and tasks always respected. The environment that Amarilis together with her staff have managed to create is incredible, you immediately feel at home. The staff are very friendly and can easily become very good friend, they really take care of the volunteers. Super recommended, thank you all, I love you!

This was my first volunteering experience, and it was amazing! Bergen is beautiful, the perfect blend between city and nature. The hostel had a great atmosphere, and you could always feel the good vibes. But the real highlight was the people, everyone was kind and supportive, which made the work enjoyable and fun.
The tasks were really fun, we meet knew people and got to explore the city and its surroundings while doing hikes, city tours, karaoke nights, board games etc.
I would definitely recommend this experience, you’re going to love it!

Amazing place surrounded by nature, the hostel is on a very high quality level. You will be responsible for organising and leading the activities very autonomously, obviously collaborating with other fellow volunteers. The staff is very kind, available, friendly and inclusive. An amazing experience in all its perspectives. I absolute recommend!
