I had the best times in hostel hobu, juan is a really funny and chill person. The breakfast was mhmm even when im not a morning person:) The other volunteer are so wonderful people and it felt like a small family. Thanks for everything <3

¡La experiencia en Hobu fue genial! Juan es una persona muy conocedora, muy útil y comprensible. Me dio varios tips sobre la ciudad, me dio toda la información sobre actividades de voluntariado y me hizo sentir muy cómoda. ¡Las actividades son tranquilas y se siguen según lo acordado, al igual que los horarios y beneficios! Y también está Rubi, una chica muy amable que se encarga de la limpieza y el café. Lo recomiendo ampliamente, definitivamente es un lugar al que regresaría. I had a great time volunteering at Hobu hostel, Juan is very friendly and helpful and the working hours leave plenty of time to explore Bogotá. If your native language isn't Spanish you will be working the night shift which means you will probably miss breakfast and makes it harder to experience the night life. The shifts themselves though just consist of manning the reception and are very relaxed. The hostel itself is quite quiet but with a team of 6 volunteers it is always sociable. I had plenty of opportunities to practice my spanish and I made some good friends.

Me siento como en casa en Hobu Hostel, el ambiente laboral es agradable y tranquilo. Las labores son fáciles y rápidas de aprender. La convivencia con los voluntarios es muy amena. La ubicación es excelente, en una zona segura y muy céntrica.

I had a great time working at Hobu. The night shift was pretty laid back and easy to handle. I connected really well with the other volunteers and will miss them lots :( I feel like I should’ve stayed a bit longer than 2 weeks as well!
