House of Kona

This is a small farm in a beautiful location with plenty of learning opportunities. Kona Hawaii is one of the most expensive cities in America to visit. We offer an opportunity for travelers to be able to afford this destination and its beauty.

We have acquired this property 10 years ago and have been committed to developing it since. As we grow older we find the need for more help. We believe that we are kind and generous which we attempt to extend to everyone.

The experience was very comfortable for us, although the work is a little hard at times, it was encouraging to know that later you would have a bed and time to enjoy in Hawaii. Michelle is a woman with a strong and fair character, who always prepared delicious food for us and Erick who was always kind and attentive to us the short time he was in Hawaii. I really think it is a good experience to enjoy Hawaii! :)

I was very happy with the welcome and treatment of Michelle and Erick. The work is hard at times, but you are rewarded with everything Michelle gives you, her food is delicious and the rooms are 10/10. Also, you're close to town and you can walk. I would love to go back to Michelle's house and continue there. His house is very beautiful and with a lot of life around it. I recommend you go and have this very nice experience.

It's incredible how much you can appreciate two strangers in one month. Michelle is a brave, wise woman with a strong character, Erick is a very cultured man who seems too cool to me.
Thanks to both of them I've been able to learn many things! I've felt very appreciated and I have also been crazy about Michelle's cooking skills!
Since the first day I arrived I've been working very hard and with many responsibilities, which I personally love. The house is huge and has all kinds of exotic plants.
I recommend this experience 100% without a doubt :)
I'm grateful for everything in this month!

It has been a PHENOMENAL experience from the beginning. Thank you to Michelle and Eric for welcoming me into your home.
Michelle is a person with many skills, she explains the tasks to be carried out very well, if you don't understand something she explains it again with different words (for those who find it a little difficult to understand English when they speak it quickly),Eric is super kind and super grateful about the work we do.
The tasks to be carried out sometimes require physical effort but they are super fun and worth it.
The nicest thing is that I made a new cat friend, Makalei.

We had an unforgettable month with Michelle and Eric! I can recommend this experience to anyone who is willing to do physically hard work. Michelle gave us enough information about it in the interview before our volunteer, so it was no surprise to us. The property is huge and the view is priceless. The accomodation is very luxurious and we wanted for nothing. We felt right at home in the room. We were so lucky and had the best team ever! You should be aware that there are also some days when you are exhausted and don’t want to explore any more of the island. All in all it’s a great deal!
