Staying here was actually so life changing and I am so grateful for the amazing experience I had while at the farm. From the stunning landscape, amazing people, all the animals, and the change of habits made my time so worth it. I learned SO much about farming, permaculture, being self reliant, and most of all I learned so much about myself. Munro is always enlightening and teaching you through everything and will constantly uplift you. You will feel loved, seen, and heard by strangers that turn into life-time friends. If everyone spent time here we would all be happier and healthier.

I had one of the most magical experiences ever that I will hold close to my heart for a long time . I learned so so so much not only about the property, permaculture, sustainability, I learned a lot about myself . I felt like I was on a retreat fully emerged in the nature and present moment. Munro was a fantastic host and awesome to learn from and be around . This place is magical and you will not regret your time here

Our experience was full of learning opportunities, Munro is a kind, knowledgeable & compassionate host. We learn about sustainability & taking care of farm animals. Accommodations were comfortable. There is a lot of food in the farm, vegetarian can thrive here. You have to be willing to be in the middle of the jungle and get dirty & also aware of you can easily work a little more than 25 hours. Thank you Munro for having us, we enjoyed so much our stay!

Munro has a great energy to him. His farm feels like an energy vortex. All the people that gravitate to his property connect at the right moment in their journeys. While I was there I made wonderful connections.
I recommend this place if you're wanting to practice setting boundaries. Munro was receptive and supportive of goals intended during your stay.
The poison oak however definitely impacted my stay. To someone living in close proximity, it may be of no concern, but having little experience with the outdoors I could have used more insight. I'm still recovering. Be well versed beforehand.

My stay at Humboldt Homestead Experience was something I didn't know I needed. Going into the experience I was just hoping to escape the city and find some peace in the redwoods for some time and maybe meet some cool people along the way. What I found instead was an inspiring life lived by a wonderful human who lives in a peaceful and harmonious symbiosis with nature. Walking away from the trip I feel like I have gained more in those two weeks than I have in the past 6 months. I'm so grateful for the time spent on this property, the friendships I gained, and the peace of mind I left with.
