Kalamos Island Biological Field Station

To help in a project and really make a difference to something in an area outside the well-known areas for conservation in the planet. To get to know an area of Greece not very far from places like Athens but at the same time an off-the-grid place with lots of nature.

We are locals ,members of the local community. When people participate in our program they become integrated in the local community through us

I had a fantastic time here a managed to go lots of work with bird monitoring, analyzing at data and helping in the garden and lots of other stuff. Ted and Georgia are lovely hosts and can’t do enough for you. I also learnt lots from Ted who has a worth of knowledge and stories to tell from his travels around the world. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to gain some hand on practical experience within conservation.
