Killneneagh

Please only apply for this position if you have experience handling horses. I don't smoke and unfortunately wouldn't want a smoker. The farm is in a quiet rural area so if you don't enjoy quiet then you won't like it here. i also have a few sheep. I practice Natural Horsemanship techniques. Most sports and activities are accessible locally so there's plenty to keep you occupied.

If you are willing to help you will need to be very experienced around horses as the horses are racehorses and they can be unpredictable and are very powerful. In return the horses give you lots of pleasure. I also usually have a horse in full-time training so you will be able to visit the training facility and come to the races when it is running. I cannot however offer you horse riding on the farm as I don't ride the horses. The farm is about 4.5 miles from the town of Carrickmacross which has a great bus service to Dublin. Whatever places you'd like to visit I will help you get there and any hobbies or pastimes you enjoy I will encourage. If you would like to see more pictures and videos of my property and animals, my instagram account is @killneneagh.

My experience at Killneneagh was, indubitably, delightful. Ronald is a wonderful, friendly and welcoming person; As soon as I arrived I felt comfortable and like I found my home away from home. I recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys a quiet retreat in the beautiful countryside and loves being around horses. My tasks were communicated thoroughly, mainly consisting of feeding the horses, cleaning out their stalls and doing housework. I definitely recommend this experience to others and I can't wait to return in the future!

My experience staying at Killneneagh with Ronald was absolutely amazing! This was my first Worldpackers experience and I highly recommend it for travellers who want to get in touch with nature, and like peace and quiet. All the tasks were exactly like communicated beforehand (mostly mucking out, feeding and watering the horses, and housework). Ronald was very accommodating, welcoming, thoughtful, flexible, and I couldn't ask for a cozier, more comfortable or beautiful house to stay in. I have videos on my IG page which document my experience if you would like a more detailed report. I LOVED IT

I really enjoyed my stay at Ronalds! He was so nice and told me what was expected of me during my stay at the start which I appreciated. The work was easy and the house was really nice, I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a quiet and calm stay.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this experience. Ronald and Chantal are warm, kind, and genuine people. When I arrived, we spoke about what was expected, which is a level of communication I really appreciate. My tasks consisted of gardening, housework, mucking out, and feeding the horses. It was meditative. The property is beautiful, and Ronald's animals are very well cared for. Highly recommend.

Ronald and Chantalita made me feel at home. Their hospitality is exceptional. I worked with the horses, cleaning the stable and spreading manure in the field for a month. The work is tiring but I did it with desire and passion.
I highly recommend this experience!
