Somos una familia Colombo Alemana con responsabilidad ecológica, cuidamos de la tierra, tenemos un bosque comestible, custodiando y multiplicando semillas, protegiendo abejas nativas, somos restauradores, artistas, creadores, bendecimos la vida agradeciendo las experiencias reales del aquí y el ahora. Abrimos nuestro hogar para compartir experiencias, en nuestro maravilloso paisaje rodeado de naturaleza, tomar un refrescante baño del río Apulo, compartiremos los frutos de cosecha, huertas y plantas ancestrales, todas con su magia, siempre un ¡Café especial! Estamos en Zipacón Cundinamarca a 90 minutos de Bogotá, sobre el camino real real Bojacá la Esperanza.

My stay at La Chagra was overall really nice! The finca is amazing, you are surrounded by nature, falling asleep and waking up with the sound of birds. My work was not at all related with what I initially applied for (wood construction) but that was dealt the first day, as there were tasks more urgent. I learned a lot about coffee and how it is processed, along with cooking with fire and vegetables I had never heard of before. Maybe things didn't end the way I would've hoped but sometimes things get misunderstood and it's not always the right timing. Still I would recommend ten times to go!

Aura was very welcoming and flexible with the date on which I arrived. She offers a great place to sleep, cook, and eat! She has a lovely family and pets, making it a great place to develop your Spanish. Aura even introduced me to her local friends; it felt really nice to be immersed in the local culture :) Aura has many projects in which you can contribute, depending on what suits you best. Although I did work more hours than expected, the atmosphere was always good, and I still had a day off to explore a gorgeous waterfall nearby.

Me gustó mucho la experiencia ecológica en la chagra, aprender sobre la permacultura y la cocina vegetariana, poder sembrar y cosechar los alimentos para cada comida fue una cosa nueva para mi que aprecio haber aprendido.
Es importante establecer los proyectos y tareas a realizar para aprovechar al máximo el tiempo

Esta fue mi primera experiencia como voluntaria y fue maravillosa. Aura y su familia tienen un proyecto bellísimo que todos deberían venir a conocer.
Aquí te conectas con la naturaleza, pero lo más importante, te conectas contigo.
Si quieres aprender de agricultura sostenible, nuevas recetas, reírte, pasarla bien, comer frutas deliciosas recién cosechadas del árbol y por qué no, si llevas un tiempo fuera de casa y extrañas el calor de hogar, aquí Aura te va a hacer sentir en familia.
Recomendadísima esta experiencia ❤️
