A lovely rural area of the Dordogne, great if you love hiking, biking, rock climbing, kayaking, fishing or horse riding with a lot of these activities available on your doorstep.
Varied work to choose from working alongside friendly hosts and flexible workhours.
Friendly English/Irish couple Sue and Dave, recently moved to France, own the property which consists of a Main house, Gite, Barn, Mill building and swimming pool all in need of some TLC. Grounds of 8 hectares of mainly wooded valley with river passing through. Work required in Forestry, gardening and vegetable plot. Work alongside the owners and be like part of the family.

I absolutely loved my time with Sue and Dave!
I mostly did gardening work and they were very considerate when it came to working hours (as it was extremely hot sometimes).
Although they are located in a rather remote area there are absolutely lovely walks nearby you can go on and explore.
Both are very kind, funny and considerate people who made me feel very safe as a first time solo female traveler.
Plus the food was delicious! :)
All in all I would definitely recommend this experience especially if you always try to do your best, like nature and a calm environment.

Le Moulin es un lugar apartado de la ciudad lo que lo hace perfecto para conectar con la naturaleza y hasta con uno mismo. Los anfitriones son una adorable pareja, atentos, serviciales y divertidos quienes te harán sentir como en casa. Respecto al trabajo unos días son actividades sencillas y otros no tanto pero siempre hay equilibrio y realmente sientes que estás aportando algo a ese hermoso lugar y no como un trabajo como tal ya que Sue and Dave son considerados respecto del esfuerzo realizado. Jennifer y yo estamos muy agradecidas con esta experiencia y la recomendamos 100%

It has been an experience in which i could perceive what is the environment of voluntary exchange, and even more, sharing environments, experience, and teamwork.
Le Moulin as an experience has its quirks, working with the owners, flexible timetables for work and swiss precise for meals, expansive trails and fussy eaters, although lovingly authentic in personality.
We were around in the start of the spring, so work has been mostly outside, and i could as both as a student and worker fill the role assigned, with minor mishaps that are easily solved if you communicate first with hosts as stated

Sue and Dave are a very fun and caring couple. The work was very heavy, we built a stone wall and started leveling the ground, I learned to plant onions. Unfortunately, there is no public transport and only a bike, but the place is beautiful for long walks. The guest house is very well equipped and we had a lot of fun cooking and singing with Sue. Dave is very creative and patient, I am very grateful for his understanding. It was two weeks of a lot of learning and for that we are grateful. :)

St Mesmein cute and small village hidden in France...
Here lost in nature a beautiful property Moulin with 2 Angels Dave and Sue. great welcoming and 2 great persons always caring and sharing great things.
Both of them know how to cook and was delicious.!
I will never forget this one month spent with them was just heaven. if you want to re-connect with nature and real Humans the place is for you.
Thanks to you Guy's and I hope see you soon.
