Because we are located on a private lake and surrounded by nature, the volunteers will have the opportunity to observe the abundance of wildlife during his or her time here.
My husband and I are easy-going people. We have one college son who returns during the summer months to help out with the boat and motor rentals. The three of us are the main people who take care of the operation here at the resort, and we would love to add a volunteer or a volunteer couple who would like to explore this area. Volunteer(s) will be staying onsite with us at the main house. During volunteer's off time, you are free to come and go and take short trips around the area during your days off or take our canoe and spend time on the lake fishing if you like. The main house has a large deck with a view of the lake where you can sit and hang out. We also have a private pier and fire pit area if volunteers want to be closer to the lake. There are also plenty of state parks nearby to explore during your stay.

My experience at Loon’s landing was nothing but exceptional. Diane and Walter have been extremely welcoming and kind to me from day one. I was able to connect with nature, take the kayak on the lake and go for long walks. The work was not bad at all, we did a bit of landscaping work, cleaned the cabins and bookkeeping. I would absolutely recommend!!

Laura literally was Walter's left hand woman! Laura was tasked with helping with the opening of the rental season prepped work which means lots of landscaping and spring cleaning. She did lots of labor intensive tasks with no complaints. Wonderful young lady that became part of our family while she was here.

I had an time at Loon’s Landing. Diane and Walter are pretty welcoming, always make you feel like home, having chats with them is enriching.
The work is simple, Diane is organized and methodic and will make things way easier for you.
The food was great, every Saturday we went out and eat, we made food from different places around the world, if you want to, you can cook and is fun.
I will highly recommend this place if you wanna get in touch with nature and with yourself, you’ll have bunch of time to enjoy the lake, walk around and do some inner work. So relaxing…

Ana gets along well with others and is always willing to help someone out. She’s also very self aware and spiritually very deep for such a young person! If you need someone to help out at your organization, you can count on Ana but you’ll get so much more than just a worker. You’ll get someone who is thoughtful and kind.

It was my 1st experience on Worldpackers and it was better than I was expecting - thanks to Diane, Walter (her husband) and Erick (her son) - they're very kind, friendly, helpful and open-minded - always willing to share about the culture and their histories. The place is outstanding, everything is really beautiful. The tasks - despite the fact that it seemed simple - I’ve learned a lot. They got a beautiful lake where I used to go fishing, swimming and explore around. We used to grill some food on the fire pit, eat out and go to get to know the small town. I'm really grateful for everything.

Lucas is a wonderful young man, very detail worker, nothing missed his eyes. You want a job well done, Lucas is your man. He often takes the initiative to take care of things before you ask him like he can read your mind. He’s also a wonderful cook. We sure miss him around here especially his laughter.

Incredible people, incredible place and incredible experience. I met people from different places and I had a lot ot fun. Fully recomendable experience in case you want to contact with nature in beautiful spot.

Lier is a very patient person and flexible. He had to make do without his luggage due to the airline misplacing his luggage when he arrived at our place. He is also willing to learn and do any task that you ask him to do. He also worked very well with our other volunteers. We enjoyed having him helping us out this summer.

Loon’s landing is such a cool place and the owner family was exceptional! You simply can’t find a better place. It was a great experience to volunteer there and made friends with other volunteers. Highly recommended

Yang is a super nice guy and willing to help with anything. He was a valuable add to our small operation. We enjoyed having him and would definitely have him back.
