Many past helpers have mentioned that the hostel is one of the nicest hostels they have stayed. They also like our beautifully decorated house and its relaxing atmosphere. Helping here will be not only fun experiences but also learning experiences about people, life and yourselves. Being exposed to multiple cultures is very life enriching. Meeting guests and getting to know people from all around the world creates fun and valuable experiences. Also, we are one block away from French Quarter and 5 minutes walking distance from Frenchmen street where the world famous Jazz clubs are located. If you are lovers of music, restaurants, arts or just any kind of fun things happening every night, you should definitely check out our hostel.
Hello friends, My name is Sean and I own this beautiful hostel.We have 4 private rooms and 3 dorm-type rooms. Currently, we have 4 volunteers. Since we are a small-sized hostel, I try to make it for everyone to be a home away home. I hope to see all of you soon. Thanks!

Beautiful hostel. Five minute walk from the French Quarter. Sean puts in an immense amount of effort to create a homey atmosphere for his guests and volunteers. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for my first worldpacking experience! I look forward to visiting Madame Isabelle’s again in the future, whether it be a guest or volunteering again!

In the Hostel Madame Isabelle, I worked as a volunteer for the first time. And it was a great time!
The hostel is in the beautiful French Quartier. Sean is a great host. I felt like I was at home. It is possible to talk openly with Sean about things that sometimes don't go well and he tries to find a solution together. Even when I made a mistake, Sean always stayed cool and explained everything again calmly. I never felt that I couldn't ask him another time when I was unsure about some processes at the reception.
I would definitely recommend the hostel and will miss my time very much.

I loved my time at Madame Isabelle's. It was exactly what I've needed after 2 month non-stop travelling: a home away. The hostel has so much character, it is a really cozy place where you feel immediately at home. I loved especially the backyard as well as the hot tub. Sean is a bighearted person who always has an open ear for your concerns and suggestions for improvements. There are many free events in this hostel like Jambalaya cooking and French Quarter Tours so that you can have a lot of fun. I didn't even miss my family on Christmas bc we did a huge dinner for all. Highly recommend it!

This place is great, with it being close to fun New Orleans spots like Frenchmen street, French quarters and Treme. Sean is respectful and accomodating, and the people I’ve had the pleasure of working with were really wonderful. Overall I recommend this experience 👍

9 beautiful weeks in New Orleans, I truly enjoyed my time here at Madame Isabelle’s hostel. Sean is a wonderful host! The location is close by to Frenchmen street and the French quarter.
