Melt Busan

Our MELT BUSAN is one of the big local cultural places for the music and art community.
We would like to share a good environment for Korea's young cultural experience and life.
This is an opportunity to create an active outgoing network in Busan.


Hi. My name is JIWEON KIM and I'm the manager of MELT BUSAN. I would like to share our local music event culture. MELT BUSAN is one of the best music event venues and culture spaces. We feature Glow Yoga classes, Summer Boat parties, and Underground dance music events and art exhibitions. We have guest artists every weekend. We are looking for volunteers for our international advertising and promotion. We are also looking for volunteers with experience as artists. Please let me know if you play an instrument, sing, DJ, dance, etc. We would love to have you perform at MELT! We all speak English and another second language. As brothers and friends, we are doing our best for our goals together! If you are singer or musician, we are welcome to have collaborative performances!

My experience working in Melt was fun, I liked the place, music, the staff as Dj’s other volunteers, etc. were always welcoming and nice. Jiweon & Gary were always very attentive and helpful about the suggestions or needs in the volunteer apartment, always treated me well, we had good communication about the schedule cleaning Airbnb and in the Club. I will recommend it to people that it’s into Busan and party vibes.

The free time was a lot, so you have time to explore. Haeudae Main Street and the beach are very close to the accommodation.

I really enjoyed my experience at MELT! Jiweon was super sweet and was always willing to give recommendations of things to do in Busan. The hours were good (only 15/week and 2-3 days) and the work was easy. If you like EDM this experience is definitely for you! The apartment is not the one pictured in Worldpackers (that's the Airbnb). The apartment is smaller but clean and has a kitchen, bathroom, and washer/dryer. Overall, this was a very positive experience for me. However, increased communication about expectations and schedules would better support volunteers moving forward.

It was an interesting experience volunteering in a club. The people are nice and the tasks are easy. Glad I could take some videos and photos for Melt too.

I really enjoyed my experience thanks to the other volunteers and especially Jiweon! He took time to show us the local food and area after work, South Korean food is amazinggg. The hours were good, I had about 2-3 days a week to explore Jeju island and South Korea! The tasks were also pretty easy (cleaning the AirBnB and promoting/working at the club). The apartment is not the one shown in the photos (that’s the AirBnB) and was small but had everything you needed (including clothes washing).
