We are located in one of the most beautiful spots in Portugal, the Costa Vicentina, miles and miles of coast that in the winter is the perfect place to relax, enjoy your surfing and the beautiful hiking trails of the region, and in the summer in awesome to enjoy the beach, hot weather and some partying of course!
We are a group of friends that already have some experience, not only working in hostels but some volunteering experiences as well, so we know exactly how to be good hosts. We expect responsible workers that take the tasks seriously but we can also expect a lot of fun and people that will show you the best time possible!

Ter o Mute como casa no meu primeiro voluntariado foi indescritível. Toda a equipe é maravilhosa e te recebe de braços abertos, o trabalho às vezes pode ser um pouco cansativo mas vale muito a pena. As refeições inclusas são deliciosas, quase sempre até mesmo o jantar era oferecido, então a estadia acaba sendo MUITO econômica. Fazer suas tarefas com a vista do mar recarrega as energias. E o anfitrião Francisco, sempre gentil e sorridente! A cidade é bem pequena, fora do ápice do verão é a opção ideal para quem busca também um descanso na natureza. Voltaria sem pensar duas vezes. <3

Despite my short stay, there are not enough words to express how fortunate I feel to have stayed at Mute Hostel. It's undoubtly an exceptional environment to both live and work in. I had the privilege of working at the rooftop bar, the tasks were simple, yet I got to savor those unforgettable sunsets everyday. Francisco, the manager, is a hardworking leader who delivered on every promise associated with the position. Porto Covo is breathtakingly beautiful and populated by warm-hearted people. I felt completely at home, and I genuinely can't wait to return for future summers. Highly recommend!

It was absolutely amazing!
Awesome experience being around nice people from all around the world while enjoying the nature and the chill vibes of Porto Covo.
I fell in love with every little piece of this cute small town and the hostel is the most beautiful hostel I’ve ever been. The pool and rooftop are beautiful and you can see a perfect sunset while drinking and laughing with the people you meet.
The job is simple and you have time to laugh and have fun with the others volunteers and colleagues.
Totally recommend! 🥰🥹
