Founded in 2005, Espaanglisch (NG Peru) is a nonprofit dedicated to English language education in public elementary schools. We work to develop students’ abilities to communicate and prepare them to interact with the conditions of a global world. We serve 1100+ kids and 150 adults in the community annually. We are a community of people dedicated to creating equal opportunities and developing quality of life for children in three cities in Peru. We offer you the opportunity to have an experience that is exciting, challenging, rewarding, and, potentially, life-changing. Our years of experience have allowed us to refine and develop our teaching methodology which you would be utilizing while working in our programs. Further, we offer you an experience that goes beyond the classroom in which you have the chance to socialize with locals and volunteers from other organizations and experience Peru through numerous, fun activities. There is an accommodation fee of $100 per week which includes a dormitory room, wifi, shared bathrooms, and free use of the kitchen.
Our administrative team consists of four staff members, two from Peru and two from the United States: David H. Mercedes (Founder), Mario Mercedes (Director), Kameena Anderson (Consultant), and Sierra Vorsheim (Recruitment Coordinator). We are available to answer any questions or concerns and to help you out when any difficulties arise.
