We are located at a very central point in a very popular holiday destination. Oludeniz beach is 2 km away which is known as the best beach in turkey. Paragliding, boat trips, rafting, jeep safari are samples of 100 different activities you can do and Fethiye, Ovacik, Hisaronu, Kayakoy, Kabak, butterfly valley are samples of 100 different places you can go and see just around us. We are new so its a pity but it is not very busy, we usually have 2 volunteers at the same time one for social media promotion and the other for cleaning.
We have an open buffet breakfast for the guests. You can enjoy the breakfast with other guests. For dinner we have a rooster. My mum and volunteers cook in turns. You get a bed in a dorm just like nay guest does.
If you are very good with computers you can help us promote Oludeniz HoStel on social media and other online sources. If not, you can help us with cleaning.
We had some very good and some bitter experiences with volunteers in the past. Lets put it this way, I may be the owner of the hostel but I am not the boss. I myself do everything needed in the hostel as well. I don't like going around checking on peoples work and push them to do something. We are all grown ups and I expect the volunteers to contribute to our efforts as much as they can. Meaning I am not happy when you change a single bed sheet in 2 hours or go to dorm and sleep all day long. I need 5 hours of work from you every 5 days of the week and a daily written report telling me what you have done that day. If you are happy with this you are welcome to stay with us.
We receive people from all around the world and we have a big table where guests sit around every night and we have a good laugh. It is for sure that you can make many new friends here if you want to.
I've traveled myself for some years. I've worked for International NGO's doing logistics in humanitarian crises. I am not very sensitive on time, I believe in results. As long as you deliver what is expected you can arrange your own working hours most of the time up to a certain point. We are a family run place, any volunteer should feel like a member of this family. Once you have this feeling it all works out anyways, you treat the job as your own and we treat you as one of our own.
