Balarm Hostel

We offer a unique experience in the hospitality sector in a young and motivated team in beautiful Sicily (Palermo). We offer free accommodation and meals or money for food. Looking forward to meeting you!

The volunteers will work five days/week, five hours/day; will sleep all togheter in the staff rooms (with external bathroom and shower); will receive their meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) or money to buy it. They can use the hostel fully equipped kitchen and have free wi-fi connection everywhere.

if you are thinking about volunteering here i highly recommend it, i felt welcomed since the moment i arrived and felt very comfortable with the team and other volunteers, the shifts were easy and quick so i had plenty of time to explore palermo and other near cities, the location is great and a 5 minute walk to were all the bars are :)

I’ve had so much fun volunteering at Balarm Hostel! The staff are welcoming and friendly, the shifts were fun and simple and the hostel and facilities are great.
The hostel is in a great location and there’s so much to do in Palermo! I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to be here.
Massimo is a great boss and has done a lot for me while I’ve been here! I definitely recommend this place 😊

I really enjoyed my time in Palermo! The work is easy and the hours are respected. We either did reception, bar shift or making the beds. There’s actual workers in the hostel that take care of most of the cleaning, which is great. The staff is super nice and we had lots of free time to explore the city, try the sicilian food, go to the beach, and meet locals. You can also take trains to get to different places in the island, there’s some beautiful towns. I met very cool people in the hostel and went out with the guests. The nightlife in Palermo is actually pretty fun. I truly recommend it!!
