THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR STAY:
Our Produce:
• We sell a little of our produce right now and our aim is to grow 100% of our food needs. We share with helpers if/when we have an abundance that is not being sold.
• We strive to use every inch of our one acre land to become as self-sufficient and environmentally sound as possible.

• We do not provide any insurance for injuries, damage or theft of any kind for any reason. We recommend you have your own insurance. If you decide to help here you are confirming that you agree to this condition.
• We have experienced very little helper issues and we are very careful and conscientious to ensure that continues.
• At any time if there is a job assigned you do not feel safe with we will switch you up.

Phone / Internet:
Volunteers use their phones for media use, but you can borrow our phone for emails, some social media, or emergency purposes because our wifi is not strong enough to support helper’s own phones.

The Elements:
• The elements take a toll on physical things so please be open to dealing with dirt, smells , bugs, rodents, mold, rust, overall wear & tear, and old items.
• We try to use our things until the last bit so it would be good for those interested in repairing and creatively fixing things.
• We try to always make improvements but sometimes that may be slow or limited due to funds or time restraints.

Electronics:
There is high humidity, so we recommend you do not bring any expensive and/or sensitive electronics or bring them in a large ziplock or plastic tote for extra protection

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
We have a large library mainly regarding spiritual paths, meditation, self improvements, and healing. Volunteers are welcome to borrow these.

We believe in the importance of putting your heart into everything you do and the help is greatly appreciated! The land, the animals, the earth, the neighborhood, yourselves benefit from selfless service.

Thank you for your consideration and blessings to you all!

We are understanding and conscious of our stayers. Please communicate with us so we are able to help you with any questions or needs you may have.

🌟Connection with the Earth, intentionality, starry nights, self development🌟
This is a safe, peaceful space to connect with/ care for the land & your inner land. It's ripe & deserves the care!
Fruits, juices, pasta, cereal, canned foods & other goodies were kindly offered. The tasks are thoroughly explained & diverse, with room for creative freedom. One bus comes *right* outside every 2 hrs. Rides to town, hiking, yoga, & other fun activities were offered, but it's also a place to unwind & connect with yourself if you're more introverted. I learned a lot & would come back again.

I would definitely recommend this to someone who is looking to be away from it all and really connect to the earth and a simple way of living. I met some incredible people and learned a lot from Judy about practicing spirituality, and connecting to the universe in our day to day. The work can be physically challenging and living conditions are exactly as stated in the listing. The hardest part for me was adjusting from my raging caffine addiction. But give yourbody a week or 2 and you will thrive once adjusted. I would have liked cheaper access to see the island, but overall had a great time!

I had an amazing experience volunteering on Big Island, Hawaii. The tasks were diverse and always engaging, ranging from gardening, maintenance, and walking the dog to transplanting plants, using the string trimmer, and cleaning solar panels. I even had the chance to contribute ideas to improve some of the house’s features, like the outdoor shower.
Being surrounded by nature made every day special, and Judy, the host, was incredibly kind and flexible. It was a rewarding and enriching experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful way to connect with nature and learn.

Volunteering in Judy & Jai's farm is exactly what has been agreed upon in the WP page.
Type of work change from one volunteer to another. I was mostly working on projects and day to day handyman jobs.
In this experience you'll get to learn useful skills for life, full imersion to nature, and if your'e lucky you'll have a chance to meet interesting people in a safe environment.
Jusy and Jai make you feel heard and understood, whether related to work or living in the farm.
Without a doubt would recommend this farm for any traveler who is not afraid living close to nature.

I loved staying at the farm, the work is only 15h and gives you enough time to do stuff through the week. Judy helps you feel at home and usually helped with rides into town and stuff. I met so many great people during my stay. I highly recommend staying with Judy and Jai!!!
