Ponte Pedra Melides Country House

We are in the most preserved coast in Europe The house is surrounded by green spaces, silence reigns, interrupted only by the sounds of the countryside. We favor a simple environment, authentic, cozy and comfortable, where luxury is nature itself. Between the countryside and the beach are the most beautiful and well-preserved coastal areas of southern Europe where you can still find true natural treasures: pristine beaches, lagoons, places lost in time and walking trails. It`s the ideal place to stroll, rest and live with nature. You can easily go to Lisbon or Algarve.
Free WiFi available 24 hours.

We are a couple with 50 years. We like to get along, meet new people and relax. We like to read, sports and travel. We will help you to know our beautiful Alentejo coast. You will be part of the family. Our team is very frendly.

I arrived in Ponte Pedra stressed and I left with a big smile on my face, a magic happened there. Thank you ❤️
A few information that future volunteers may appreciate:
You can reach the beaches (wild and beautiful) by bike but they are not so near and there are hills on the way.
In 20 minutes by bike you reach the near town, where there are supermarkets, pharmacies etc.
The food is very good, mainly vegetarian.
Shifts are intense: they really need the work of the volunteers to run the place.
Finally, do not get involved in the internal dynamics of the staff and you’ll have a wonderful time!

Ponte Pedra is a very special place! It was wonderful to be welcomed there as a first time volunteer. Ana and Jorge go out of their way to ensure their volunteers feel comfortable, and experience the beautiful nature and opportunities that the area has to offer. I am really grateful for them, and my time volunteering here. Delicious home cooking, a great hardworking team, access to a lovely slice of the Portuguese countryside. As long as your expectations are reasonable (e.g., basic but comfortable lodging, work well during shifts), it is a great experience.

My first experience as a volunteer couldn't be better. The experience in Ponte Pedra was excellent, I ended up arriving a little late because my arrival flight was delayed but Ana was super flexible and polite, she picked me up at the bus station as agreed and was very nice. The hotel stay was great, the other volunteers were kind and nice to me! I loved being in this place and being able to help Tes with the kitchen tasks. I recommend this application, you will really like it!! 🥰 I managed to practice my English and learn a little Spanish, it was interesting
