Our hostel is a family run hostel. We pride ourselves on the connections we make with guests and staff. If our staff are happy, we will have happy guests too! The hostel is clean and well maintained.
We treat all our staff and volunteers like they're part of the family. We like them to get to know our beautiful town and socialise together and with our guests. We really encourage everyone too be part of the team!

My experience was incredible. From the first day, I was welcomed and made to feel at home. The work wasn’t complicated and I had a lot of free time. The atmosphere was family oriented and I never felt alone, time passes so quickly in this hostel.

Port Maquarie backpackers was one of the best things I've done! Met some truly amazing people and the volunteering was easy and fun to do as a team. I think the most important bit was meeting other international travelers, made real great friends and can't thank Ben and Monsy enough for the opportunity! 6 weeks went by in a flash and you truly don’t want to leave!

Our experience at Port Macquarie Backpackers was so much fun! This hostel is truly something special because of how social the hostel is. Everyone is friendly to everyone and there’s just a happy atmosphere there. Port Macquarie is a small town compared to city’s in Germany but we still really liked it here. The beaches are beautiful and the town as well. It was great to surf here! All in all we had a great Month in this hostel and we would recommend it to everybody who wants to travel to Australia. Thank you to Ben and Monsy for having us here, it was so nice!! We will miss you

My experience in Port Macquarie Backpacker was just perfect! I was feeling like at home after only few days, Ben and Monsi are amazing , every time available and close for you in time of need, a second family !
I loved them and the hostel , and I am already missing all of that 💖

I have had an amazing time here at the hostel. It’s been so much fun and I recommend it to everyone. The job is easy and you have a lot of free time. Would definitely come back here as a guest or volunteer again.
