Working in the tranquil setting of Quinta Japonesa, doesn't feel like work. And you help a family making a living. There is a grocery shop/restaurant/cafe nearby just 2,5km and we are 12 km from the nearest city Caldas da Rainha and 20 minutes from the beach Foz do Arelho.
We are a family with 2 young children and have 6 accommodations, and about 3600m2 terrain to be maintained. We ask about 4 hours of work per day and you get a free stay and a free dinner (if you want to).

A Quinta Japonesa é um lugar de muita paz, em meio a natureza, onde podemos trabalhar um período do dia, depois explorar ao redor . Fica perto de lugares patrimônios da UNESCO como Mosteiro Alcobaça e também de praias lindas como Nazaré. Minha experiência aqui foi incrível pois além de eu estar muito bem alojada, quartos maravilhosos, a Michelle , nossa hostess, é uma pessoa que confia na nossa entrega, valoriza como somos e cumpre os acordos. Mesmo muito ocupada, consegue estar conosco nos almoços e nas pausas para um cafezinho. Agradeço muito a acolhida que recebi na Quinta.

Michelle and her family are quite a find. Truly humble and intelligent people that I would like to have spent more time with. The tasks where fine and easy to do but sometimes it was difficult to manage with the video and photography job since good work takes time and overall it was a great experience. Thank you for everything

Quinta Japonesa is the perfect place to leave city life behind and reconnect with nature. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the apartments, which was super-comfy, a real treat! I loved the delicious lunches courtesy of Michelle and Thomas and all of our chats about music, food, life.
Need to drive to get around, but alternatively, you can hop on a bicycle or jog (like I did). The work was a mix and sometimes sporadic, but manageable once discussed.
Added bonus: the two friendly doggies 💜

Fué una experiencia maravillosa!!!
el lugar es como un paraíso, su naturaleza, sus alrededores. Las playas están cerca entre 30 y 30 minutos en auto. Michelle es una mujer fuerte y muy trabajadora, Rick su hijo menor es una dulzura el mayor Mika muy agradable también. El almuerzo siempre a tiempo y rico. Thomas fue quien la mayor parte del tiempo cocinaba y vaya que cocina buena comida. saludable y muy sabrosa. Di tienes licencia de conducir Michelle te facilita un auto para cuando quieras pasear. Muy importante que tú controles no trabajar de sobra. Es un voluntariado.
