Stunning stone house

Stunning stone house nestled in a beautiful garden and woods and surrounded by 1000 acres of Open Space and wild life. Seclusion at its best. We own a small farm with a garden and animals. The property sits on an old granite quarry that operated from the late 19th century until about the 1920s. The stone house was originally built as a dormitory for the quarry workers. We have a beautiful field at the bottom of the hill with a large army tent in the summer and beds in the house in the winter for our volunteer's sleeping arrangements. There is a bonfire pit and the space is surrounded by the gardens and woods. It bumps up against a bike path that goes down to a near by lake and continues all the way to Providence (about a two hour bike ride). The extra rooms in the house itself are rented out. Biking distance to anything you may need, the nearby town is about five miles from the property. For animals we have 3 dogs, a donkey, a dairy calf, about 15 laying hens and still looking to expand. We have a full time fire wood operation and a renovation project up the street. We own a sailboat, so there may be opportunity there as well, in the summer months. Day trips to Boston, Cape Cod, New York City, Newport, and Providence.

We are carefree, fun, creative people who love to have a good time, eat good food, and love to take care of this beautiful property. We hope to make the most of its abundant resources from gardening, stone, animals, firewood, and carpentry and we could use all the help we could get.

Learning & Fun

Brazil

We stay at Leea's house from 11/9/2017 to 11/26/2017.

Leea and her family were amazing. She made us feel at home.
She is an easygoing person and ready to help. She gave us rides and visit cities with us.
We could choose the activities and our rest days.

We had great and fun experiences, learning and applying skills: cleaning and organizing the house, taking care of animals (dogs, cat, donkey, chickens, etc), painting rooms, taking pictures, making a video, creating a profile on Worldpackers, etc.
We appreciate all of these experiences and recommend her place to others worldpackers.
