We are a small, cozy and friendly hostel in the center of Palermo.
A great city full of culture, architecture, good food and night life.
Sorrounding us, you will find plenty of Amazing Scicilian cities to visit, temples, beaches, smooth weather almost all year long and interesting people.
We love to share our culture and way of life, and thats why everyone that comes to Sunshine Hostel feels like at home.

I am Francesco a real Palermitano, but I have travel and lived abroad. Family guy, that likes to make my hosts and volunteers welcome and at home. You will experienced a nice, calm and friendly atmosphera. I am very Flexible and talkative person, I like to shared meals, and experiences from people over the world.

It was my first volunteering experience and I couldn’t have hoped for a better one. The hostel is located in the center, making it really convenient to explore and visit. The work was easy and light, we were able to choose the shifts among ourselves, and as long as tasks were completed, we were free to approach them as we preferred. Sofi and Francesco were always available and ready to helps us with any needs. The volunteer team quickly became like family to me. The month I spent in Palermo will remain a unique moment of sharing, learning and fun. I am grateful to have lived this adventure.

Sunrise es un pequeño hostel ubicado en el corazón de Palermo. Me toco compartir esta hermosa experiencia con una crew formada únicamente por mujeres, ya que los hombres voluntariaban en el Sunshine. Las tareas que realizamos fueron muy sencillas y siempre se respetaron los turnos y horarios acordados.
Sofi, la manager, realmente una persona increíble, siempre dispuesta a ayudar cuando fue necesario.

Durante dos meses y medio, el Sunrise se convirtió en mi segundo hogar... Lo voy a extrañar mucho! Fue una hermosa primera experiencia.

Volunteering at Sunshine was one of the best experiences of my life. For three months, I worked at the hostel helping with simple tasks, which gave me time to explore Palermo and enjoy everything the city and Sicily have to offer. The location is excellent, with easy access to other cities, restaurants, cafés, bars, parties, and beautiful beaches. Sofi, the manager, was extremely proactive and empathetic, making the stay even more special. I also met amazing volunteers with whom I formed deep bonds, like a true family. I 100% recommend this experience!

Sunshine Hostel es un lugar como ningun otro. el producto de su ubicacion y la intensa ciudad de Palermo hacen que los huespedes que pasan por el hostal sean lo mas interesante ( para mi). Aqui conoceras personas de todo tipo , de diferentes partes del mundo y con diferentes propositos de visitar la capital siciliana.

Palermo es una ciudad unica la cual vale la pena conocer y explorar, desde las iconicas iglesias hasta los barrios a los cuales normalmente no entraria, sin mencionar la extensa variedad de comida.

It was, overall, an amazing experience. You can get to know a lot of people from all around the world and connect with the other volunteers. Sofi was helpful and friendly; you can ask her questions anytime and can help you solve problems. The shifts are simple and short, so you can have plenty of time for yourself. The location is perfect because it's close to the central station and 15 away from the city's tourist center.
