Dear Woldpackers Unforgettable experience My name is Mukesh , and I run a my hotel in beautiful Jaisalmer, in the desert of Rajasthan. The hotel is located near the historical fort on a quiet street in the neighborhood We are looking for people who want to help us all year round. - with our administrative work (like booking rooms, communicating with our guests etc.), - with our beautiful roof-top restaurant (service, explaining the dishes, clean-up, and, if possible, helping with our continental dishes), - with general maintenance and room-cleaning, - and last but not least with educating our own children (mostly teaching them English and maybe some other languages). Of course you can choose between the different jobs, according to your interests. We would like your help for 1 to 5 hours per day, for a minimum of 2 weeks, and a maximum of 6 months if you really enjoy being here. :-) In return, we would provide you with a hotel room, food and free WIFI. We offer free pick up on arrival with our car, just please let us know your arrival time before you start your journey to Jaisalmer. We would also offer the option of a discounted Camel Safari, recommended by many travel books as the best in town! We like to think that we have the best roof terrace in Jaisalmer. Our hotel is located in full view of Jaisalmer's Fort, close to the market bazaars and all major tourist destinations are within walking distance. Most importantly, . In the process you will make friends for life and learn a little Hindi and some Rajasthani cuisine here and there :-)
We are a group of friendly young men who are relaxed, laid-back and very easy to interact with. We are on Couch surfing and other similar websites and have hosted countless people from all around the world with many fond memories.
Mukesh and the team are nice people and Swan Haveli is an awesome place to stay. The place is really well maintained and resides in the heart of the city. The food was regional desi and nutritious.
I would recommend anyone to volunteer here and learn more about hotel management, restaurant management and not to mention the local lifestyle.
Thank you for hosting me and for the wonderful experience.

The staff are social and vibrant, the management is easy and clear, everything is well thought out and simple. You will feel involved in everything about Swan Haveli and you'll be all around town working with different subjects.
I advise anyone to reach to this place if they want to receive the best kind of treatment and joy from volunteering.
Mukesh understands your capabilities and pushes them into work that will improve you and set you to greater length. he's a man that I wish to work with in the future, and it tells of the quality of the services and work he offers.

I had a Great time in Swan Hostel! I came to work as videomaker and also to manage the social media. I wanted to improve more my skills and develop myself more as a professional person. I had totally freedom to be creative as much as I could. Mukesh, the guy who runs the place is very kind and always positive. He told me to use my imagination to do my best in Swan. I stayed 3 weeks at the end there, and had so much fun on Holi Festival and Camel Safaris. I definitelly recommend Swan Hostel for everyone who wants to have an adventure in the Desert and explore "The Golden City".
