TAM Hostel is the realization of the dream to provide travellers with a home away from home in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Travellers deserve a safe, clean and comfortable base to explore Ho Chi Minh City from and that is where TAM comes in. Aside from focusing on these basics of good hospitality, TAM is also committed to helping travellers go deeper and immerse themselves in the unique culture and history of Vietnam. The philosophy of TAM hostel is also rooted in giving back and leveraging your travel dollars to bring about positive change in local communities. We recognize that travel has an impact (socially, environmentally and economically), but we truly believe in the positive transformative power of travel for both the traveller and the host communities. If this is a vision that you can get behind then join us in Saigon and help grow our dream, while helping those in need in the process.
The ownership of TAM Hostel is Vietnamese and Canadian. We have traveled all over and understand what travellers are looking for. We are raising the hospitality bar for hostels in Saigon and welcome committed volunteers to join us. You will have the opportunity to learn every aspect of a hostel business. It will be hard work, but if you are interested in this industry it will be very rewarding. You will be provided with opportunities to learn about the Vietnamese culture, as well to delve into the dynamic and fast-paced city of Saigon from your base in District 1. You will located in easy walking distance from Ben Thanh and the main tourist attractions. While working with us know that your contributions will be valued, you will be treated with respect and you will have an opportunity to exercise you creativity. We look forward to having you with us and learning from each other's experience.
The location is great and the family running this hostel is nice and always ready to help you. I had spent quality of time with them and others volunteers, not only when I was working, also during my free time. The work is entertaining, a good thing is that you always have the same shift hours and free days, but also they are flexible. I stayed longer than expected cause is not easy to leave this lovely place.

Volunteering at a hostel was long on my list, and I couldn’t choose a better place. The work is fairly easy once you get the hang of it and I found it very enjoyable and rewarding, especially interacting with guests and helping them to make the most of their stay.
The best thing about the experience is the family running the hostel. Michelle, Raine, Khung, Sang – they are all so warm and make this place feel like home.
If you want to work on your English, learn about the hospitality industry or Vietnam as a country, this is the place to do it!

Minexperience in Tam Hostek was amazing, Michelle, the owner, is a very warm person, and makes you feel at home.
This whole family, and I have never felt alone, I have learned many things about Vietnamese culture. Working here is very pleasant, the guests are all calm, and accompany the Hostel's climate. I am very happy to have done my volunteering here.
