Teach English doing a Homestay in Spain

Via our Homestay Program with host families anywhere in Spain we can try to find you a wonderful place to live for a few months (minimum 1 month). IMPORTANT! you MUST be a NATIVE ENGLISH Speaker of the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand or AT LEAST have a very HIGH LEVEL of the English language. Host families in Spain can host you in exchange for 2h of English tutoring to the children in the house, 4 times a week, Mo, Tue, Wed and Thursday. In exchange for that you will have your own room and free meals (the free meals are only included if you have them at home, meals at restaurants are NOT included). The families are carefully selected by me and are often my friends, friends of my friends, my relatives or relatives of my relatives. You will be in total safety as well. If you are interested the first thing we need to do is see each other via videocall via WhatsApp, so I can carry out an interview with you. There is a Finders Fee, only payable AFTER you meet your host family via WhatsApp videocall and once both parties have agreed the period of the homestay which should be at least 5-6 weeks, and can run up to 9 months. The fee is 250 euros for a Homestay of a maximum of three months. The length depends on you and on the family. You will be hosted for free and free meals after all. Please check our website: www.homestaysinspain.com for more information. But please DO contact me via Worldpackers first.

THIS IS FOR NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS ONLY OR AT LEAST PEOPLE WITH A VERY HIGH LEVEL OF ENGLISH. Volunteers will be treated just like another member of the family. Freedom to travel. No house chores. This is NOT an Au Pair Job. The family wants you to be their window to the English Speaking world!

Nino was super responsive and helpful during the process of finding a family! He set me up with a lovely family who I had a great time with! I highly recommend doing this program if you want to immerse yourself in another culture and also practice some Spanish!

This was such an amazing experience! Nino found me a family that was incredible to live with. The family treated me like their own and made sure I was comfortable and included in everyday activities. Outside of teaching English, I had plenty of time to explore the area, practice my Spanish, and get to know and even become friends with the locals. I highly recommend this experience.

This is an awesome experience for someone who likes teaching kids/learning about different cultures/having a Spanish host family. As I was able to speak English with the kids and Spanish with the parents, I improved a ton in Spanish. Nino was helpful if I ever had any questions, checking in on me through my stay. I would say this is best for someone who has something else planned for the day, ex. Spanish class or an online job, as my family only really needed help in the evenings. I also recommend considering location, if you care abt being social in a city vs don’t mind being alone a lot.

An incredible and life-changing experience! This experience provided me with everything I could have wanted and more. My hours were always respected, so I had the freedom to take the weekends to travel all over Spain. The Metro and trains are fantastic, which makes it very easy and cheap to get around. You do have to prepare your own lesson plans, but the kids that I taught were very receptive to anything and the family was sincere and inviting. I learned so much about Spanish language, culture, and cuisine as well as how to teach kids. This is an opportunity that should not be passed up!
