Situated in a complex of six UNESCO World Heritage listed Brugean step-gable houses and surrounded by Bruges´ historical centre, The Bauhaus offers the best party atmosphere and beer selection of any Bruges hostel. With walking tours, bike tours and Belgian beer tastings on-site every day, there's always a great experience waiting for you in the bar - try some of our 60+ high quality Belgian beers and chat to our friendly international staff for some sightseeing recommendations and local tips!

The hostel has a range of dorm sizes (4x 6x 8x 10x 12x 16x beds) and private rooms to suit all guest requirements.

The Bauhaus has a mixed staff of international and local people, something that brings a unique atmosphere to both the bar and hostel. We are a team who loves to have fun and always make an effort to ensure all of the staff get involved in the party.

My time at the Bauhaus hostel was marvelous. Everyone treated me very nice and they really respected my working hours. There is always a fun environment to hang out with people from other countries and make new friends. Also Brugge is one of the most special cities of Europe and is worth spending a few weeks there. Hope to some day come back :)

My experience at the Bauhaus was awesome!! I would definitely recommend it if you are looking to meet new people, visit the beautiful Bruges and have a great time with the team. The breakfast shift is easy, you work in a team during the morning and then you have the rest of the day to enjoy as you want. The staff is nice and flexible if you need to arrange your days off and you can spend a very nice time at the hostel's bar (where you will receive discounts as well) each night. Thank you!!!💛

This was my first experience and I couldn’t have chosen a better one! I did the Social Media for the bar and i had a lot of freedom to get creative with the content and I could do my own schedule. All the volunteers were amazing and even tho I was not that close with the permanent staff they were all really nice and helped us every time we needed something. We had our own area with our bedroom, the kitchen and a little backyard. Besides that, Bruges is a beautiful city and The Bauhaus is the best bar to hang out

I've had my first volunteering experience at Bauhaus and thoroughly enjoyed it! The agreed working times and schedules were respected and gave enough free time to explore Bruges and other city's. The work was easy to learn and there was always someone there to ask for help. A little gardenspace and a kitchen especially for the volunteers where great places to socialize. I loved the Bar and the different theme nights and had great nights there. But what made my time especially wonderful where the other volunteers, everyone was outgoing, positive and some of the kindest people I've ever met!

Hermosa experiencia de voluntariado, con un ambiente muy cálido entre lxs voluntarixs. En el hostel se respetan los horarios de trabajo y son muy amables. El dormitorio cuenta con una cocina y un patio interno muy lindo. Además, Brujas es una ciudad muy bella y especial, perfecta para establecerse unas semanas y conocer en profundidad. Sin dudas volvería :)
