Our guest house is located within England's greatest city - York. The city itself is a giant museum with history stretching back thousands of years. There are hundreds of pubs and restaurants and plenty of attractions to keep you entertained during your stay. If you volunteer at our place you will meet people from around the world!
My wife and I have been running this guest house for a few months now. We are friendly people and like to have lots of fun with whatever life throws at us. We are looking for someone to help us run the guesthouse so that we can continue to work our normal jobs as well.

This was my 1st Worldpackers placement and I had a fantastic experience!
I felt daunted when I first arrived as I was the 1st worker there and the house was in shambles but by the time I left 2 weeks later everything was coming together nicely, I felt very comfortable and had met some great new friends ❤️ Johnny & Katie were wonderful hosts including us in dinners and bbqs with their family and friends. Johnny took myself and another worker out for a fun day of archery and knife throwing and the next day I went with them to a car boot sale! I look forward to returning!! Thanks guys ❤️

It wasn't hard work, it wasn't an awful experience. Though, my review from them might not be great solely because of how I cleaned one room which is understandable. I was in a rush to clean the second i don't think I cleaned the first one properly, I apologized and was asked to leave, though I understand the frustration, I think the way one of the hosts handed it was inappropriate and not called for, the one yelled at me like a child. It made me extremely uncomfortable. I am glad I am out of there and have another great experience coming soon. I wish anyone next luck with these hosts.

It was a wonderful experience, everything that had been agreed was fulfilled, they are very sweet and gentle people, the work is also quiet, I only had some complications with the other person who was also a volunteer but otherwise it was a amazing experience.
