My husband and I have been traveling for 10 months and our time here was one of our favorite months yet. We loved being a part of a little village community and wish we would have stayed longer. The hosts Caroline and Martin are some of our favorite humans. They are full of laughter, good conversations, and joy. Working in the cafe was really fun, we both enjoyed making coffees and chatting with people. It was a very social, active, and enjoyable experience. After cafe hours we enjoyed the outdoors hiking and fishing. We were so happy to be here, miss everyone already.

Martin, Caroline and Cormac were all amazing people. It was home away from home. They provided a beautiful home and were extremely welcoming. The locals all were cheerful and loving and the work was so fun. My husband and I grew from the absolute silence that this nature had to offer. If you want to personally grow in a beautiful and remote destination by slowing down and reflecting, this is the place for you. I’ve done many worldpackers experiences (5 including workaway) and this is by far the best experience we have ever had through this website. Absolute beams of light this family is

Our stay here at the Nook and in Dalavich has been such a great experience and far beyond our expectations. The hosts (Caroline and Martin) are super heroes with unwavering love, passion, and energy! They were super welcoming and took such great care of us!
Working in the cafe was so fun! We met all the locals and quickly knew everyone’s names and their “usual” order. We explored the area as well and the locals took care of us and made us feel at home. After 2 days we wished we could stay longer!

Martin and Caroline are amazing people and the absolute greatest hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable during our stay. There is so much to do and see in beautiful Dalavich. This was by far the best Worldpackers experience we’ve ever had!

Our hosts Caroline & Martin have made us feel very welcome throughout our placement. From the first day we started working in the cafe, they’ve been totally supportive and approachable. It’s been fun working with them, learning how to make proper coffees and pizzas, running the kitchen during breakfasts and lunches. Our accommodation at the Nook is small but cosy and they’ve provided everything we need. All the locals have been very friendly and welcoming. The village is situated in a beautiful part of Argyll. There’s lots to explore, bicycles to rent and loads of fantastic hiking trails. :)
