We are a vibrant community where our staff will meet guests from all over the world and develop deep friendships with fellow volunteers and locals. A Christian will be able to understand the Bible in a deeper way by living in the land where the events took place as he experiences the culture, setting, Biblical holidays, and Hebrew language.
The Shelter is a ministry as well as a hostel so volunteers will have the opportunity to share their faith in deeds as well as words. As a small hostel with 40 beds and usually 5 volunteers, each staff member will feel they have a vital part to play. The volunteers have a lot of free time, so we expect them to enjoy self-initiative and be capable of working in a non-structured environment .
