Tune inn Activity Guesthouse

We are a chilled/ laid back travelers nest...full of daily activities and bohemian vibes. Music plays a big role with us :)
We will be having weekly open mics this year and even live nights once to twice a week so if you are musical and would like to join, be our guest. Initiative from staff to go on pub crawls with guests is always an option but not a necessity. We encourage and want new ideas at our place. We love to learn and meet new beings :)

For more information please message us.

Would love to have more volunteers from NOW to help with Guesthouse set up (deco, painting, cleaning up <3 )

Volunteers duties include help with cleaning rooms, welcoming guests, socializing with them /helping= ironing, laundry duties. We only accept volunteers that are sure they can commit to the dates agreed since we cannot risk anyone dropping out on us in high season.

Looking forward to meeting you soon !
Jules

I am half Irish half Greek . Ive had many volunteers over in Tune inn and its been great :) I respect everyone's free time ofcourse and during those its a pleasure to hang out and have fun as a family however i truly expect from others to respect our agreement on work hrs as that is a separate thing. If both parties know our responsibilities and proceed as agreed , then it all rolls fine :) Very much looking forward to meet you and help in watever way i can , Jules x

My experience was shorter than expected because I left earlier, but it didn't meet my expectations. From Julie's side, I felt a lot of unnecessary pressure and didn't feel comfortable expressing my opinions or setting boundaries on certain matters. The tasks weren't clearly defined, and there weren't adequate supplies for proper cleaning of the hostel. Additionally, I felt somewhat lonely because there were hardly any other volunteers or guests at the hostel. If you're looking to meet people, I recommend going during the summer season. Despite this, I learned a lot from the experience.

Although there are 3 hours of daily service, work is HEAVY. In 2 weeks I stayed I had only one day off.

The tasks were to take sofa, bookshelf, bed from the top floor down, carry cement and paint boxs.. Obviously I needed help. I also cleaned rooms, ironing, laundry and mostly cleaned her house (downstairs). I thought that volunteering would be to take care of the guesthouse but I was cleaning julie’s house every day.

Julie didn't specify what should be done, they were very abstract tasks. She treats the volunteers as employees. She sent me a rude message when I couldn’t work OFF my shift

About the job: check in and check out guests, cleaning, gardening, ironing, moving objects.
about my room: the room I stayed in had 2 beds, a balcony, a bathroom, a frigobar and a two-burner electric stove. The fan wasn't working well, (there's only air conditioning in the guest room)...it's quite hot.
My experience: I often worked more than the agreed hours, as she asked me to do more things towards the end of my working hours.
Some services were heavy: like moving large and heavy objects and small stones in the garden...
Activities could be clearer and announced the day before and schedules

I came during August, so this wasn't the quiet Inn in a rural neighborhood I was expecting, but it was nice.

Evan youre right. Its not in a rural area as you mean it. We managed however to take you to nice places/and you also going solo to places that are more your scene. Thanks for helping us.

I left the project earlier than expected. It's not fair of me to the owner, because I left her without notice and without help during a difficult period. Was a lot of lack of communication and organization of the place. We worked more than three hours a day and do something even on our day off. The thing that broke the camel's back was that I was sick in bed for two days and no one came knocking on the door to ask me how I was. Volunteers come from the other side of the world and the only thing is to treat them like human beings and not make them feel guilty to keep your business going.

You said it well, you completely dropped us at a difficult time where you commited that you would stay to work. you worked 3 hrs and took two days off with pleasure from our side. We still canot believe you left with no notice Elena because you really made it difficult for us as i was out of town working for the 3 days. Work should not be personal as you took it and in any case you should have spoken to me first so that i could organise. Our guests are our highest priority. Im afraid we cannot recommend you to any other at this time.
