Vegan Animal Rescue Farm

We live on an old estate with 13 rescue equines (donkeys, ponies and horses), 150 rescued pigs and various sheep, goats, dogs and chickens.

The animals thrive in a calm environment; therefore we are looking for positive attitudes, happy to muck in and get through the manual labour, as well as patience and thoughtfulness with animals who need time to come around. This is incredibly rewarding if you enjoy tuning in to the little daily achievements and rehabilitation of the animals.

We have a core team of staff and some long term volunteers who are always on site or available to help. You'll be given an induction, training and constant support if you have any queries or concerns. There will be a period of observation and monitoring during your first few days so we can ensure you are happy and capable.

I had the most incredible month here at MLPR. It went by so fast and was an absolutely unforgettable experience. This place and all the animals will be in my heart forever, and I hope to one day return to the farm :) I met so many wonderful people which has made my time here even better. But don’t underestimate the work, it can be very physically and mentally draining at times, especially if you’ve never worked on a farm before (like me), but it’s so, so worth it. I recommend MLPR to everyone, you won’t regret it!

This was a really sweet experience. Getting to directly work with animals is something I’ve always wanted to do and I’m grateful to be able to help. The work can be very hard and I do recommend patience as your body adjusts, but it was also heartwarming to be able to help such sweet beings. Everyone is welcoming and helpful . If you don’t mind hard work in basic settings I would suggest it. Thanks to everyone at this lovely place.
