VerdeVeras
If you are looking for contact with nature and some time living outdoors, we are in the warmest part of Europe, so we have fairly good weather here all year round. There is plenty of space to park a motorhome or pitch a tent. The site is 10 minute walk from the nearest town, with banks, supermarkets, bars and a bus station. There are regular buses to the local beaches and most major cities in Spain. This is an eco project, so we are completely powered by solar. We have wifi, charging points, a swimming pool, hot showers and a communal kitchen available for use. The lounge bar is a great place to relax all year round.
Volunteers will work 15 hours per week for space to stay here, without food provided. This is usually 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, with 2 days off, but I am flexible. I am vegetarian and, although I don't mind what food volunteers cook for themselves, I prefer people with a flexitarian approach to their diet. This is an environmental education centre and global food production is one of the biggest contributors to climate change. I prefer people who are open to adapting their diet whilst here.
During the winter months, there is a possibility of working more hours for provided vegetarian food, to prepare yourself. If volunteers do not have their own accommodation, I may sometimes be able to provide something basic.
Although I ask for a minimum stay of three weeks, I always feel that staying longer gives a mutually better experience and I will give priority to those who wish to do so. There is no maximum length of stay.
A community spirit is created when everyone contributes. If you want to have a community experience, bring that spirit with you.
