Warm home

Its a great way to experience both the city life and nature, Derbyshire is only 30-40 minutes outside Manchester and is great for walks. My home is a friendly environment, I sometimes have Indian doctors staying with me. If you love dogs, you will certainly fall in love with Tito as he is the most affectionate and loving dog with everyone that meets him. My home is big and spacious with a large park at the back of my home its ideal for exercising Tito.

Firstly, I am a hard-working individual with a damaged spine, Its very important for me to find a volunteer that is willing to work hard and do the tasks that they are given. I have had many great volunteers staying here but very recently its unfortunately not been a good experience. PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE PREPARED to WORK whilst staying with me.

There's Just me, I work at the University with students with hidden disabilities and support them academically. I need 4 hours per day minimum from a volunteer Monday to Friday. Which will be walk/exercise in the morning for Tito and the afternoon (no less than one hour each walk) he would need feeding at regular times and needs a routine. PLEASE NOTE THAT additional to Tito walks i need some help cleaning the house every day Monday to Friday. I need help getting rid of a lot of my stuff from my basement as i am decluttering. I do need some decking replacing in my garden so if we have any joinery experience Iw would be pleased to hear from you. I need two hrs for Tito and two hours cleaning and decluttering. Saturday and Sunday
will be days off. If you are working remotely please let me know in advance as this may clash with needing flexibility,

I have single room on the upper floor and the Wi-Fi is excellent. I can give you advice on where to visit and where's the cheapest places to shop for food .There is plenty of places to do your food shopping .People are very friendly and although its a very multi cultural place its becoming more bohemian and arty in in some parts of Levens Hulme/Burnage area. Its the South side of the city and is only 3.5 miles from the city center.
There will be times when I need to go away for a while a week then i will need dog sitting and house sitting when this is the case you will need to provide your own food

Just to note that Tito occasionally has the odd seizure (not often I do use naturopathic treatment for him which I can show you when you arrive. Tito would be expected to stay in your room if i was not at home due to the fact he may have a seizure. Also he could not be left alone for more than 3 hours.

The communal areas will need to be kept clean by yourself, bathroom and kitchen, dining area space this would need cleaning everyday. I am selling my home soon so I will need help decluttering and ensuring the house has a deep clean. I have spinal problems so i will need help lifting and moving some boxes etc.

I need help for January/February. If you have a Job (digital ) whilst you stay with me, that will need to fit in around Tito needs. I have had a couple of volunteers and most have been amazing, but I have had two volunteers who have arrived and treated my place as a place to holiday whereby they have not worked whilst here. I really want someone who is motivated and reliable its very important to me.Please no time wasters

Being with Dianne and her family was an intense and enriching experience. It was my first volunteer job, and I went through situations that I will carry with me for life. Dianne is communicative, busy, and always willing to help. Tito is an extremely gentle and calm dog. Dianne's father is generous, full of great stories, and helped me a lot with the language. I connected with the whole family, everyone treated me very well; it was an incredible and enriching experience, and I was able to experience the culture of an English family up close. Grateful for everything.

Dianna's house was my very first volunteer experience! Sure, there were a few little challenges along the way, but they truly helped me grow as a person. Dianna and her father made me feel like part of the family from day one. I'm so grateful for their kindness - and for the chance to meet so many wonderful people (and a very adorable dog!) during my stay. It's amazing to realize that no matter how far apart we are in the world, families everywhere share the same little struggles, the same quirky habits, and even laugh at the same jokes. I will carry these memories with me forever!

This was the best volunteering experience that I have so far. Dianne is an amazing host, Tito is the most lovely dog ever. The accommodation is great and super well located.I have lots of fun moments there and could improve and develop new skills.

Diane was a lovely and welcoming host. She communicated what she wanted done clearly and kindly, respected hours/the days off and was willing to be flexible when needed. Her dog Tito is very cute as well. I will and have recommended Diane to other travelers I've met! Til we meet again next time <3
