White House of Tanzania

The White House of Tanzania is a hostel with a homey atmosphere, that house volunteers from all over the world. It's located 10 minutes walk from the city center of Arusha, where you will find ATM's, restaurants and all other stuff you might need during your stay. The White House of Tanzania offers accommodation and 3 meals a day for very cheap prices, which makes it the ideal place for backpackers. The food served is both traditionally Tanzanian food and european food, and our chef Sarah is always trying her best to fulfill everyones wishes. We offer both shared rooms with bunk beds and double rooms, all of them with toilet facilities only few meters away - the toilets are of european standard.

My name is Junior, and I'm manager of the White House. The house belongs to my family, which is why my younger brother Johnson also helps run the business. Besides us, we have a lovely chef named Sarah, who cleans and cooks for the volunteers, and out masaai guard, called Babu, who watches the gate every night. Volunteers living at the White House can expect a welcoming atmosphere, since you will be concidered part of the White House family. Karibu White House, we look forward for hosting you!
