Yellow country house

If you're looking for a truly off-the-grid, peaceful experience in nature — this is the place.
You'll be surrounded by forest, fresh air, animals, and the rhythm of a simple life.
You'll have space to think, create, connect with nature, and contribute to a meaningful project, while sharing stories and good food in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

I'm Nicola, living in the beautiful, peaceful Italian countryside with my two dogs, Nera and Leo.
I'm passionate about living in harmony with nature and sharing that experience with others.

Volunteers can expect a warm, open environment where your contributions are genuinely valued. We'll work together as a team, with a focus on honest communication and respect.
You'll be treated like part of the family (this will bring not just rights but also responsibilities), with good food, meaningful conversations, and plenty of space to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside.

My 3 weeks were a mix of great adventures in the breathtaking countryside and heavy communication challenges during the final week over garden tasks. Expect rustic living, no property cell service, basic meals, and rare trips to town. Bring long clothing for bugs/thorns. While Nicola was friendly on departure day, I wouldn't volunteer here again, though I'm grateful for the nature and hope to return to Pianello with another host.

Read the presentation carefully. I cannot offer more than a simple life in the deep Italian countryside. We will still have the chance to participate in various village events and celebrations among many friends, with the time and means to reach independently the nearby and splendid swimmable river.

Telephone services are often very poor in these remote places; the food is simple, as is the lifestyle, and traveling to warm and humid cities will not be my priority, given my work commitments.

My time here was wonderful! This was my first-ever solo trip, and Nicola made me feel safe, comfortable, and welcome from the moment I arrived. He is incredibly knowledgeable, always willing to help, and made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable. I learned a lot during my stay and truly felt at home. I would highly recommend staying with Nicola to anyone looking for a genuine and memorable experience.

I spent a week in nature, staying in a house in the forest with Nicola. It was a simple and peaceful experience that helped me slow down and reconnect with myself. Nicola is very intelligent and knows a lot about nature and animals — I learned many interesting things from him. Over time, I really appreciated the quiet rhythm of the place and felt grateful for this opportunity to live closer to nature. Recommended for anyone seeking calm and introspection.
