because it is an awesome place for backpackers and young uncomplicated happy people. you will have enough time to explore the wonderful city and the beautiful nature of Switzerland. In the evening there are always people around to have a drink, go party, do some crazy shit or just having a relaxed evening with spa, boardgames and some nice dinner.

we also live here and you're a part of the project ... if you want to get to know people or explore the wonderful place you always find somebody to join you ... and of course there is also a boring part, where we would be happy if you could help 1-4 hours to keep the house clean. We take care that you have 3 meals a day.

I had an amazing time volunteering here. Ray and Effie both are very kind and welcoming. The tasks are easy and working hours are respected. The house itself is beautiful with the most amazing views so hanging out there is a pleasure. Also being surrounded by mountains there are so many opportunities to go hiking and explore. Couldn’t recommend it more!

I’ve done a lot of travel and have stayed in many home stays over the past few years. I can honestly say that Ray’s place was by far the best one I’ve had the opportunity to stay at. Ray’s house has an amazing view of the mountains surrounding Lucerne. I felt very comfortable at his place and enjoyed the work, which was always manageable and left me with plenty of free time. Ray is super approachable, sociable and easy going. I was also fortunate to meet many of his guests visiting from all over the world. I strongly recommend applying for this opportunity at Ray’s place.

First Worldpackers experience and I loved it! Great way to be able to explore Switzerland and Lucern. I felt very at home in the house, the work was very manageable and flexible with plenty of free time. Rainer is a great host, very sociable and the guests are great too, i met so many amazing people, I would recommend and am so thankful for the experience!

My two months spent in Lucerne were absolutely amazing. I was able to meet friends from all around the world. Rainer is an amazing host and really made me feel at home. The tasks are easy once you get the hang of them. Great communication, great city, and most importantly great host. This experience truly made my summer. Great balance of city and nature. Truly a good choice if you want to explore Switzerland and socialize a ton! I could not be more grateful.

One amazing month spent in Lucerne, staying at the most wonderful place with a stunning view of the city and surrounding mountains. The facility is very comfortable and ultimately technologically developed. Working hours are respected, tasks are explained in detail and easy to perform. Rainer is an amazing host, always available to communicate and very easy-going. You have a lot of time to explore beautiful Switzerland as well, and make a lot of new friendships. Don’t hesitate to apply, it’s totally recommended!
