What we and the surrounding area offer you:

The finca is beautifully situated on a hill with a view of the tropical rainforest, rich in flora and fauna. On our property, you will see various monkeys, sloths, parrots, toucans, hummingbirds, trogons, and many other animals.
The area is stunning. Punta Uva beach is half an hour away by bike, great for surfing, and the national parks of Manzanillo and Cahuita are nearby. Puerto Viejo, a Caribbean dream destination with vegan restaurants, is also close.
You can visit two nearby indigenous reserves if you're interested.

- We are experienced in permaculture, construction, vegan cooking, ecological activism, living in different open concepts and are happy to share our knowledge and experiences with you.
Likewise, we are curious if you bring skills that you would like to share and from which we can learn.

- If you want to withdraw from drugs you can also contact us, we have a lot of experience in this field. However, as addicts often require a lot of attention, we limit ourselves to one place in this respect.

- We offer healthy, vegan food and drinking water, with some of the food already ready for harvest. Our large kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including a fridge, to prepare your meals.
In your free time, we offer various activities to make your stay more enjoyable:
- Spanish Course: Join our basic Spanish classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 pm to 3 pm.
- Climbing and Knot-Tying Course: Learn climbing and knot-tying skills on Thursdays from 3 pm to 4 pm.
- During each stay, we take a trip together, e.g. to the waterfalls in Bribri.

Additional offerings include:

- Bicycle Rental: Volunteers can rent a bicycle for a small fee.
- Transportation: Getting around is easy by walking, using buses, shared taxis, tuktuks, or even hitchhiking.
- Open Office: Access a computer and the internet in our open office.
- Recreational Activities: Enjoy our dartboard and ping-pong table.
- Movie Nights: We occasionally host movie nights.
- Music and Sewing: We have a guitar, bongos and a sewing machine available for your use.

We (two environmental activists who have been active in Germany for some time) are currently setting up two projects on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. We are looking for people who want to help us. We were lucky to buy an 8000 sqm piece of land near Puerto Viejo de Limón, about 3 km inland, along with three houses that need require renovation. This land is part of a group of landowners who want to protect about 550 hectares from being overly developed. It's between the Manzanillo-Gandoca nature reserve and the Keköldi indigenous reserve, making it an important link in the local ecosystem. Our project, called Yuyo (Spanish for weed), aims to make this land more self-sufficient. We also created a foundation in a nearby forest where anyone can join as long as they follow certain rules, like no drugs, guns, hunting, cutting trees, using fossil fuels, or plastic.
