The experience was incredible. I learned a lot from the children and from Rabin and his family. The tasks involved entertaining the children during the holidays and teaching computing. The activities went from 9:00 to 13:00 and we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is no need to bring bed linen or pillows, but you do need to bring your towel. Any help is welcome when volunteering and the children are wonderful and super dedicated to learning. Rabin is a sweetheart who does everything for the good of children.

A Mariana é uma pessoa super bem disposta, alegre, sociavel, pro ativa, simpatica, feliz, sorridente e todas as palavras que encontramos para caracterizar alguem de quem gostamos. Foi uma energia positiva que trouxe e partilhou com todos que não vamos esquecer. Obrigado Mary e até breveeeeee :)
Ricardo é simplesmente uma anfitrião maravilhoso que entende perfeitamente o conceito do voluntariado. Ele é muito pacienete e flexível e gosta de conversar. Tem uma vibe maravilhosa e tenta fazer com que todo mundo se adapte bem. A Nélia, mãe do Ricardo, é maravilhosa também. Sempre muito atenciosa, fazia com que a gente se sentisse em casa e muito bem-vinda. Ela que preparava nossas refeições, que eram sempre muito gostosas!!! O café da manhã a gente mesmo preparava: Tínhamos pães, manteiga, geléia de framboesa, café, leite e até yogurt. O almoço e o jantar foram servidos todos os dias.

Uma experiência incrível e alto astral. A vibe do hostel é maravilhosa, os funcionários são muito gente boa e te deixam bem à vontade como se você fosse da família. As festas dos finais de semana são sensacionais e você conhece gente de tudo quanto é canto! O anfitrião é bem flexível em termos de horário e dá pra trabalhar remoto enquanto voluntaria. Super recomendo a experiência 👏👍🙌

Oi! Eu sou a Mary! Sou carioca, publicitária, mergulhadora e produtora de conteúdo. Eu sou apaixonada por viagens de estilo low cost e amo viajar sozinha e fazer voluntariados. Eu já viajei por 28 países e morei em 5 deles. Eu uso as minhas viagens como uma ferramenta de autoconhecimento e aprendizado e gosto de compartilhar esse processo com outras pessoas que estão abertas a aprender coisas novas.
I have a degree in Advertising from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ - Brazil) and I also have a Divemaster certificate that I took when I did a diving course for 3 months in Thailand.
I also studied English in England for 6 months and I took short courses on social media management, photography, writing, digital marketing, and SEO for blogs.
I worked 7 years in the area of Marketing and Advertising. My main responsibilities were developing strategic plans, budgets and performing research on potential clients.
As well as writing high-quality content together with the PR office. I also needed to help to maximize and coordinate all marketing activities through working closely with the designer team, stakeholders and event managers.
In 2015 I moved to England to study English and I have been working as a babysitter, bartender, waitress, and chef.
In 2019 I quit my job as waitress to focus on my own Travel Blog https://vidamochileira.com.br/ where I share thoughts and tips about traveling, backpacking and how to become an expert traveler.
I visited 28 countries and lived in 5 of them. Currently, I live in England. I also have done 3 interchanges (U.S.A., Portugal, and England) and 3 work Exchanges (Brazil and France) that transformed my worldview.
