A holistic guesthouse with 50 years of history, requiring structural renovations. We are a community located in the forest, 4 km from the city center of Nova Friburgo and 3 hours 30 minutes from the state capital, Rio de Janeiro. We have our daily volunteer routines from Monday to Friday starting at 7:30 with yoga, and from 8:00 to 12:00 the repair activities. The volunteer needs experience with construction, roofing, plastering, tool handling, and PPE, etc.

Gabi is always in high spirits.
Always willing to do city tours, show the waterfalls, and help with tasks. She is very patient and also very flexible.
The interactions with the other volunteers and with the inn's residents were excellent. I made great friends and had a lot of fun.

An atypical experience in a beautiful place, there at the inn in the city, with a view that is well worth it. Our stay was private because we arrived in the middle of preparing an event and we had a lot to do to make sure everything was ready on time. The other volunteers were amazing and we were able to create a good group dynamic because we were all very committed. Practical tip: Uber drivers sometimes hesitate to go up there, so keep the contact of the first Uber you take handy in case you need it.
