You will be helping the students practice english by making conversations with the students and occasionally by leading classes. Your help would also be appreciated in other areas such as: business, marketing, development of the school grounds and of course FCE Tours. You can do with your free time as you wish. We have plenty of exciting ideas though. You could visit the old temple Phnom Da. It's a historical monument of Cambodia.Learn more

Kreng´s project is incredible and he really works very hard to get the kids to learn English. It was amazing to get to know such an authentic cambodian village, the students and their culture. Even though I think IFLS is a good place to volunteer, I am very sad to say that I wouldn´t recommend it to female solo travelers, since Kreng can get over protective. Honestly some of his behaviour made my experience less enjoyable and left earlier because of this reason. I personally don´t like to be controlled and asked why I do EVERYTHING. Also note that you will be sharing the room with Kreng.
Staying at IFLS was an important moment of my life.
It was not very easy at first to adapt one whole month to such a different culture, a different lifestyle, etc. anyway the experience was totally rewarding.
Kreng is a good person, he really takes care of his job, and the kids are literally adorable. :)
I just say that, at the end of my staying, I toke care so much of the school project that i started an online campaign to help the children.
I suggest other worldpackers to take this place seriously in consideration, it can be a really important experience for you and for the kids.
Not all heroes wear capes, Kreng is doing for the young people of his community is something worthy of admiration, he really wants the kids to learn english so they will be more competitive in the future, he loves and respects all his students. Moreover, you, backpacker, if you want to go helping, please be prepared, the school is in a rural village, far away from civilisation, it is in between rice-fields where cattle graze and boys play barefoot football, no internet, water and light shortcuts, nothing to do in the vicinity and tons of mosquitos. You feel happy when you help them learn.
I think this is a very beautiful project, Kreng do his best to contribute to change the life of the kids giving them free English classes from Monday to Sunday and he do it very good!! It's a good teacher who loves his students. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with him, he shows as he is the owner of the truth so doesn't listen recommendations. Supposedly we were staying 2 weeks but after 5 days he just change our plans from one hour to the other because he was going to be "so bussy" so he wasn't needing our help. Kreng if you want volunteers you need to be responsible and respectful.
We are looking for volunteers to help with the English lessons, but you don't have to be a certified teacher, with your good will is enough. We offer accommodation and food in exchange, and we need you to pay a very small fee. You can work how many hours you want, and you will have an authentic Cambodian experience for sure! And it's semi-rural area, which makes it more exotic. You will be another villager, as our people are very hospitable a...About the host
