I had an amazing experience here with my boyfriend! We were laughing all the time, sharing stories, and really enjoying our coffee and meals with everyone. Eli is a wonderful cook, he made delicious dishes with honey for all of us and it was absolutely amazing! Yum!!! We learnt a lot about bees, honey, propolis, pollen... His place is cozy but it has many spiders on the ceiling; the house was not as clean as I had expected, but the experience was unique!!! I recommend this place if you like to be disconnected: it’s a very peaceful place to take a break from the stresses of life.

My stay at Toca da Onça was absolutely great and I recommend it to anyone, who wants to get in touch with nature, experience a different and more simple way of living and enjoys being surrounded by lovely animals and nice people! Eli is a lovely host with a wonderful dream, that volunteers can help to realize. The tasks are simple and as it was my first volunteer job in that section, I can also recommend it to anyone, who never experienced working with bees. At the times it was raining, which was a lot during my stay, Eli helped me imporving my Português, thank you for that as well!!

It was am amazing experience, Eliel was an awesome host. The house is in the middle of the forest, it's a great choice for someone who loves nature. I got to know a lot of amazing people and I learnt a lot. Definetly recommend it for international volunteers if you want to get the real cultural exchange and learn portuguese. Absolutly loved it!

Gratidão a todos do Toca!
