The Experience

You will be involved in general front-desk activities: check-in/out of guests etc. HOBU Hostel is unique in the sense that their space combined the first architectural style of the neighborhood with a contemporany offer, bringing the present together with the past of the history of Bogota. HOBU is located in one of the most strategical spots in the city, this because all the offer is surround the property or is pretty close.

I had an incredible experience at Hobu. By the end of my time volunteering, I didn’t want to leave! Juan and Cleo are the kindest and most generous hosts and made me feel as though I were at home. The hostel is an upbeat and social, yet calm environment where one can truly get to experience Bogotá in an amazing location within the city as well as connect with many travelers. The tasks are simple and Juan and Cleo were always available to ensure that all was well. This experience far exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend this to travelers who are looking to visit Bogotá.

I extended my stay 3 times cause I didn’t wanted to leave. The nightshift is not hard if you can adapt yourself to wired sleeping hours. It took me a little while but at the end I didn’t mind at all.
I felt really welcome and always hat a good time with Juan and Chleo.
The hostel itself is really sweet and it’s easy to feel at home cause of the beautiful house.
I will definitely come back!

Hobu is not only the best hostel to stay, but it can also become your second home. The location is great, close to everything; the zone is safe, even at night, the house is amazing with a home-like appearance. Cleo and Juan are the nicest people ever, I’m gonna miss you so much guys. Amenazo con regresar algún día si uds me aceptan
