The Exchange

We are an Artistic Residence and Hostel based in Mexico City, we support artistic projects focused on social improvement. We offer a bed and food in exchange for working in one of our 3 shifts (morning, afternoon or night). Tasks are simple, responding and writing emails, attend guests, do check-ins and check-outs and keep the place clean. Volunteers can use the atelier as well. And use the laundry with a minimum of charge.


6 hours of help per day

Night Shift: Help with night tasks to make the place relaxing for all guests

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Exchange and wash bed linens. Make the beds.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and attend to guests.

Program Details

We are looking for someone who can be relax and would like to learn. We give lots of workshops and depending on the time of the year there will be artists creating in the atelier.

So if you are close to paintings, music, dance, photography or any kind of artistic expressions this will be a great place for you to be.

It is very important for us the treat to every person who works here and to every guest who passes by.

Activities & Shift
