I've spent only 3 weeks at the hostel and even thou we didn't have much time together, the hosts Jonny and Tommy seems to be really nice people.
Volunteers have a lot of free time and autonomy at the hostel, we didn't have lots of work to do because of the low season.
Unfortunately I couldn't say a proper goodbye, but I would like to thank you guys for having me and I wish you all the best!

Cheers! :)

Volunteering at Hostel Connect was a wonderful experience. Derry is a very beautiful city, and the surrounding tourist spots are incredible. Tommy and Jonny are very good people. I went in low season, so I did not have much work, but did not diminish the experience, I had time to improve my English. The hostel itself is neat, nicely cozy, and the breakfast very good. The kitchen is well equipped, so you can cook whatever you want, there is a big supermarket in front of the hostel that you can find everything.

I came in November (low season) so there wasn't many things to do, either many people, but it was a great experience, the hostel is amazing and everyone is so nice, they're really good people. the work is fair and they pay for extra hours if it's necessary. Derry is a small town, very cozy (and cold!!) hahaha. thank you so much for the opportunity!

I spend just 2 weeks in Hostel Connect. It was my first experience as a worldpacker and I really believe this is a very good place not only to practice english but also to know more about norther irland culture. From the first day I feel like at home thanks to the friendly people in Derry. The atmosphere in the hostel is so warm and it's fantastic to be part of the team. The work is not hard at all.
I totally recommend this hostel.
See you soon :)

Thank you so much for being part of the team, it was a pleasure to have you here and you were a valued asset. I regret not being able to spend more time with you and the other volunteers, but was glad to see that you got on so well with the others and enjoyed yourself while you were here. If you ever decide to come back to Derry, I'd love to have you here again, and hopefully I'll have more time to join you on nights out. I wish you the very best in your future endeavors, and you smile is one in a million.

I'm gonna to keep in my heart the days I've spent in Derry. It was a great experience and an opportunity to make new friends, learn about culture, history, travellers and meet different amazing places in Northern Ireland. Hostel Connect was like my home one month, so I gave it a hand without complications. You'll find the tasks easy but also you're going to learn new ways to make things. I'm grateful with Johnny and the Staff for the good and friendly stay. Best team and place ever!
