Working as a volunteer at the hostel was an incredible and enriching experience. From the moment I stepped in, they warmly welcomed me and took the time to explain my tasks, always making sure I felt comfortable in my role. The staff at the hostel went above and beyond to ensure I'd have a great volunteering experience, making it truly unforgettable. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of such a caring and dedicated team. This was my first experience with Worldpackers, so I can't express enough gratitude for the opportunity they gave me. Thank you!!! :)

The family are polite, schedules are reasonable and flexible. The house is stunning, rooms are comfortable and common areas clean & spacious, BUT it's far from everything. I applied for decorating/painting (chose this one over another at the beach), but ended up scrubbing window bars. I think volunteers should do something similar to what they applied for. They also showed no interest in getting to know me, despite being the only foreigner there. In two weeks, we had no interactions or time together. I sadly felt lonely and useless. Luckily, my volunteer mates talked to me and helped a lot.

The hostel is a such a beautiful hostel. I loved it, very clean and organized. There is someone in reception 24 hours a day for you. Cyda, Marcelo and Sara were amazing and welcoming. The other volunteers were also amazing. The work was doable and the yard work was very relaxing. I would recommend this hostel to anyone who wants a chill and calm place to stay at.

That was a great experience! I really like it! Sara, Cyda, Marcelo, Hugo are nice people! They helped me all the time that I needed it! Sara always gave me a flexible schedule, with different days off! Marcelo showed me the waterfall close to the hostel and we climbed the mountain! And I loved to play chess with Hugo in the evening time (Ps* He always won!). The place is a typical residential area, with neighbors, a marketplace on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a little square with everything you need. Downtown is not far, you can get the bus at the square and then the subway. Or Uber.

What a nice and beautiful place to live and work. They are a family who lives besides the hostel, so everything you need they are there to help you. It was a not perfect moment to work there because of the virus crises that made the hole hostel be empty and with no guests it was not a complete experience, but besides that it was a safe and a flexible place to work with no hard work five hours a day just passed so fast.
