I don't have much to say, the children from the orphanage and teaching classes was the only good thing about this volunteering. the host is not at all clear about the donations he asks of you, the program is not organized, and his role in volunteering is not professional at all. I had many problems when asking about the donations made, donated money for a supposed course and it turned out with bills for pots for his kitchen. really, the only rewarding thing was the love received by the children.

This experience is one of a kind. The perfect one for a real volunteer. You can be busy the entire week by assisting in schools and Orphanages. You get special opportunities to enter the culture, teaching refugees, orphans and students. The host is a super friendly person and helps you with everything you need. World Meets Kenya team make sure that you have everything you need to perform proudly. They were super kind, and didn’t fail in anything. You will have moments to remember forever. If you want to know more details, go to my Instagram (“indisciplinada_mente”) and see Kenya’s files.

Samuel has such a kind heart and was always making us laugh. He cared so much about making sure we were comfortable and we he was always flexible when our plans were changing due to covid. We had a great time helping out at the school and playing with the children in the afternoons. Anne was so lovely to and she taught us how to make chapatis! Thanks samuel - all the best.

I had a good time at World Meets Kenya, the children were so sweet and just wanted attention and love. We spent a week at the local school which was so much fun, meeting the teachers and kids and I definitely felt I made a difference, however the school didn’t seem like they needed much help in regards to volunteers, so maybe a school which isn’t a paid school would be more valuable for volunteers help. Something we didn’t know though, is where you are staying is where the after school club is held, so there are always children in and out of your accommodation so there isn’t much privacy!

I had an amazing time with World Meets Kenya. Sam made sure that the stay was enjoyable by listening to the comments and planned activities depending on what you like and how you feel on the day. I got to plan trees, spend time in a local school but my favourite part was to play daily with the kids of the neighbourhood. They are all very keen to know more about you and where you come from and you’ll get to know more about their daily life in Kenya. They also have so much love to give! There was never a dull day. I miss the children so much already and cannot wait to go back one day ☺️
