Portree House was a fantastic first Worldpackers experience. From the start Ciaran was very accommodating on moving my start date around, and was always quick to respond to emails or talk to you if you needed something. The managers were also great, all very friendly and easy to work with. The work isn't at all difficult, and it was never an issue if you needed to change your shift to be somewhere else. I made some good friends among the other volunteers/guests, and couldn't have asked for an easier volunteer experience. If you're looking to go somewhere, Portree is a good, solid choice.
I've spent one amazing month at Portree Hostel. Couldn't have expected better place for a first experience. It offers the opportunity to meet great people, enhance your english skills, discover Ireland's South East, and especially learn many things which are so useful in everyday life (housekeeping, cooking communal meals, many other occasional tasks...). Thank you Portree lovely staff!
Portree Hostel was my very first experience as a volunteer and could not be better. All the team are so nice and gave me a very warm welcome. The tasks are super easy and notable at the same time. I was super lucky to have a great volunteers at the same period as well and this is the best part to me: get to know new people for every part of the world. I had the chance to meet people from Spain, France, Australia, Argentina etc...
Thanks very much Adria. It was great to host you and you're welcome back any time.
I missed the deadline for writing a review for Adria but I can highly recommend him for any role if any hosts are looking at his profile. He got along very well with the other volunteers , staff and guests and he is very responsible and reliable.
This host receives a lot of worldpackers and has a high average rating.
