The host was extremely welcoming and very understanding of my situation. My work was fair and as advertised; therefore, I had a good time and was able to carry out my responsibilities without any issue. The other volunteers and workers at the hostel made me feel a part of the team and offered great advice. The complementary lunch offered was much better than anticipated. Overall, this was a great first experience for me as a Worldpacker. Looking forward to the next one!

This was my first volunteer experience and it was great. the people were welcoming and the job was easy, and since most days they gave me night hours (16h-00h), i could still enjoy even the workdays. the hostel is very well located, near the bus stop to go to all the beaches and also near malls and lots of restaurants, so i could do everything easily by walking a little bit, and Flor specially was of great help giving me information about where to go and about tours i could hire (i ended up doing a great tour to Chichen Itza). definitely recommend the experience!

It was a good experience for my first time volunteering. tasks are very simple to do. the working hours are very flexible and fun! It's like you are not working, just spending time with the crew!

I stopped my volunteering sooner because I wanted to see more of Mexico and not only the Yucatan. But it was an amazing experience, I met extraordinary people ! I was feeling good in the hostel for a first volunteering experience.

My experiences in the hostel were amazing. The people were great. The locals and travelers and volunteers gathered there. the hostel's strong point was the cozy atmosphere which helps them connect with each other. The facilities like showers and toilets were better than I had expected. And then, the location is awesome. There are restaurants, supermarkets, and nightspots within walking distance most of which are cheaper than those of Hotel Zone. Going to beaches involved taking a bus at a bus stop a few minutes' walk away, which was easy. It was the right place to do many fun things at a lower price.

I felt very comfortable and both the host and the hostel staff were very nice. I had planned to stay 4 weeks, but I left the hostel after 2 weeks because I had other tasks than agreed. In the beginning I was allowed to choose between a bar and a craftsman. Then I had to clean up. I didn't want to complain and did it, but after 1 week I realized that it wasn't for me. So I asked if I could go earlier and was asked if I could finish the 2nd week. We found a compromise together. I really like all the people from the hostel and wish them all the best❤️🙏🏽
