The Experience

The first hostel in Mexico City, it is located in a small old house in a great street. It is not a party hostel but rather hosts serious backpackers with usually amazing traveling plans. We are looking for responsible travelers with an open mind, a work ethic and that can enjoy us as part of a team. Its important to have a confident level of English, and great if you know some Spanish too. The volunteering includes reception and some basic cleaning.

The hostel is a cozy little space in a great location in Roma Norte. Clean, safe, & welcoming, with friendly staff & visitors from around the world. The manager is caring, communicative, flexible, and easy to work with. The tasks are typically checking in guests, changing bedsheets, washing a couple loads of laundry, and maintaining the cleanliness of the hostel. I wasn't asked to work more than 25 hours, and the hostel is small, so the work required is completely reasonable. I stayed for a month and would definitely recommend it for whatever length of time you plan to be in CDMX!

The most special experience with the most special people 🥹 I'll never forget my Hostel Homies! In terms of the workload: it was pretty relaxed, as I was there during a slower period. In terms of the facilities: keep in mind the hostel is old, so don't expect much modernity— but it adds character!

Yin and Ayleen made me feel immediately welcome and made sure I was set up with everything I needed. There are regular community dinners which is a great opportunity to further connect with everyone. The hostel itself is FULL of charm and truly one of a kind, the location is also as good as you could ask for. I'm already planning for when I can next come back!

I had an amazing time volunteering here! The location is perfect for being able to go into the center of the city, and also for exploring the more lowkey parts of the city. All the staff and other volunteers there were also incredibly friendly and easy to get along with. I would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone looking to volunteer in Mexico City!

Truly fun & worthwhile experience. Super friendly and helpful management and the tasks given were straightforward. The training was more than enough and I understood what was required of me. I also feel like my Spanish has developed more because of this experience. I highly recommend this host to anyone interested in applying!!
