Sebastian and Amrit are exceptional and warm hosts open to conversation. Palazzo Pitti is a place full of meaning and nice philosophy of life. A place for those willing to truly help and work giving their best. The tasks are various and assigned depending on priorities, I helped cooking, cleaning and plastering walls and ceiling. I really enjoyed the morning routine and the team work. Sebastian is a dedicated host that everyday shared time with us, we had interesting talks at the table and guided us through the tasks we needed to get done. During my stay I met the best people there.

Amrit&Sebastian were really welcoming. The tasks were divided considering what I applied previously and what they needed most. Sebastian is super organized and rigorous, and I understand it is the best way to manage a big community like that. I always had an open space for dialogue and a good connection with them and the volunteers.
Amrit is a special woman, she was teaching us about numerology, herbs and massage... The conversations we had opened my mind for a new world and I’m really grateful for that. Thank you Amrit&Sebastian for the experience :)

Camilla is a heartful and very conscious personality with good sense for what is needed and how to perform that it is good for everyone. Thank you for being with us. I felt how much you had been supporting us)

The place was nice, the food was tasty and delicious, the tasks were different everyday so you never get bored, but usually you end up your activities a little late, around 5 of the afternoon and sadly most places in town close around 6 so there’s not that much to do during your free time, however it is a very beautiful town and I got to meet some truly lovely people.

My time at Palazzo Pitti was great! I had a lot of fun with the work involving gardening, roof painting, wood chopping and more, even tho I didn’t had any experience with any of this I enjoyed most of it and learned a lot. Sebastian was a really nice host with a different lifestyle and worldview and I enjoyed very much being a part of it. I met a lot of nice people and overall I felt like a part of a nice, big, happy community. Extremely recommended for those with an open mind and who are interested in trying something new. Would love to go back!

I arrived and was not really shown around. A few days after I arrived the other workawayers left. Sabastian and Amarit also for two trips while I was there. I did not have much money for the trip, but I agreed to pay five euros a day mostly because I thought I was going to have a yoga class everyday, but as they were not there for most of the time this was not the case. I felt awkward and uneasy to speak and ask for what I needed, such as food (like onions) because before they left Sebastian said 'do you need anything from the shops because it would be a big hassle to go right now'.

Sebastian replied

Thank you Cristina for you earnest words. It would had been great if you would have shown it in the time being with us. We did not recognise that you felt awkward and uneasy to speak. We had the impression that after the first days of your stay you adapted better.

By the way: we take the 5 € for your share in the house costs.
We do not charge the Yoga.

Every meeting with every person is a new experience. We live up to it and embrace it as good as we can. Now we learned a bit more...
