Great experience being at the community. It is beautiful and rewarding to work and to have the experience of living with other people. You have a lot of time to share with other volunteers/ travelers if that's what you like. Also the possibility of being surrounded by nature and animals. Nice! At a very cozy place. The hosts are really nice and take care of you: they are open and respectful with everybody. I'm really grateful for the opportunity of having some days here. (Great food aswell) Thank you Sammatz people!!! Best wishes for you ♡

Sammatz is a nice place to meet good people, make friends, get an insight into the local culture and learn new skills. The hosts of the community are accessible and friendly, in general you live in a good atmosphere of camaraderie. Regarding the assigned work, you must be prepared to work a lot and it is important to coordinate the days off in advance so that the agreed days off and the work hours indicated by the platform can be met. If you are vegan or vegetarian you will always have good options to eat.

This is truly a unique and special place to stay, a one of a kind community. Due to its seclusion (about an hour of bus ride to nearest town), you will get a fully immersive experience with people from all over the world. There is a very large Spanish community here, and I have had the pleasure of improving my Spanish speaking skills drastically (Thanks Yut!). The volunteers and living situation is absolutely wonderful, and work is fair (6.5 per day on weekdays, and 3 hours -or more if you want- on weekends). Thank you so much for this eye-opening experience!

When we first arrived to Sammatz we were expecting to stay for only 1 month and experience how it is living with a lot of people from different places and helping a community without being driven by money. After the month past which felt more like a week, we understood that we love this place and how open minded everyone is, seeing so many smiles on people's faces every day made us also feel that we have found a place where you can leave behind your monotonous life. We decided to extend our stay for one more month, we know that we'll definitely visit this place in the future and there will be

Sammatz was my first work-exchange experience and honestly, I couldn't ask for something better! Surrounded by nature is a magnificent place, full of activities and fun. Managed by a caring and welcoming staff, I felt included and respected, there's no way to feel excluded or misunderstood. I enjoyed everyday in Sammatz, especially in Christmas time, I had a lot of fun and I learned so many things about taking care of animals and gardening. It's a beautiful place if you want to meet new people, live and work in a fun way and create memories!

Sammatz was my first volunteering experience and I enjoyed my time there and the people I met. My mentor showed me everything i needed to know the first day and was really kind to me, always ready to help and listen to my necessities and i'm glad for that, the place is amazing and if you love nature is going to be great. I felt like a month was just the right time to know about the place, enjoy the company, improve the english and socialise and I would recommend if you are outgoing - I was not and it was really hard in the beginning (we were over 140 volunteers).
